GENERAL

HOW LONG DOES A PROJECT TAKE?
Our Room Edit Projects take about 3-4 weeks from start to finish. This does not include ordering and delivering of furniture.
WHAT ARE MY BUDGET CONSTRAINTS?
We understand designing and furnishing a space is a big investment and that’s why we aim to make our packages affordable and accessible for everyone. Each package comes with a design fee (which you can learn more about on our Pricing page) and a furnishing budget, which is additional to the design fee and is based on the total value of the items on your shopping list. Custom Packages and Instant Packages budgets vary, so we invite you to read the questions specific to each package below to learn more.
WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT?
We’re easy! We accept all major credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa), Paypal, and Sezzle.
DO YOU SUGGEST PAINT COLOURS?
Of course! Set the mood wall-to-wall with our designer-approved hues. If you’ve purchased a Custom Package, we will suggest the perfect shade to match and elevate your space. But before you coat the whole wall surface with that new hue, here’s a pro tip: we always recommend doing a patch test on a small portion of the wall since lighting can alter the tone of the paint. If you’ve purchased an Instant Package, it will also come with suggested paint colours and wallpapers in the rendering, curated to perfectly match the selected design.
CAN YOU HELP WITH SECURING TRADES PEOPLE?
Our designers may be able to provide trade recommendations based on working relationships we’ve established in the past depending on your location. However, the contractor or trade we recommend are in no way affiliated with Room Edit. If you decide to hire them, they will be entirely responsible for quotes and overseeing all aspects of the project. Trades are not included in your Room Edit package.
ARE YOUR PACKAGES AVAILABLE TO SHOP WORLDWIDE ?
Our Custom Packages are available for purchase worldwide. We will accommodate your shopping list to your location. Our Instant Packages however are only available in Canada and the U.S. because they are pre-designed and furnished through external suppliers (some of which do not ship internationally).

FURNITURE

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE PRODUCTS FROM?
Each package comes with a shopping list consisting of a curated selection of products from various vendors, such as IKEA, Wayfair, CB2, Article, West Elm, Pottery Barn and more. Each item is carefully selected by our designers for its quality and style while ensuring it fits within the established budget.
DO YOU DO ANY CUSTOM FURNITURE ?
Room Edit offers a digital and simplified take on design. We’re able to provide affordable and quick makeovers for all by cutting on traditional design services, such as project management, installation and custom furniture. Due to time constraints, we’re unable to provide custom furniture. If you are looking for a full-service design project, we invite you to visit our sister company Stacey Cohen Design.

CUSTOM PACKAGES

HOW LONG DOES A PROJECT TAKE?
We’re here to make design simple, easy and quick. You should plan approximately 3-4 weeks for your custom package to be finalized. Please note that you will be responsible to order all the items and furniture needed to put your package together from external suppliers after the design package is finalized. The time required for order processing and shipping is not included in the Room Edit turnaround and need to be considered as an additional time frame.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I BUDGET FOR FURNITURE?
Our Custom Packages are meticulously designed to fall within your pre-established furnishing budgets. No hidden fees or surprises. In the discovery phase of your purchase, we will ask for your budget range and work with it, but you can refer to our Budget page to know what to expect based on each room type. These budgets represent the total value of the items on your shopping list. Although purchasing the items on the list is at your discretion, these budgets represent the amount you should allocate to fully furnishing your space. HOW MANY DESIGN OPTIONS WILL I RECEIVE?
Each custom package comes with two style boards for inspiration. Once you select and confirm which style board you want to move forward with, our team will curate your final package, which will include a tailored floor plan, final style board, and a shopping list. HOW MANY REVISIONS DO I GET IN MY DESIGN?
We provide our clients with 2 style boards to choose from. After selecting your style, you will have the option to swap out 3 items from your final style board. Our designers will provide alternatives for these 3 items. For any additional revisions, fees may apply.
ARE YOU ABLE TO COME AND MEASURE MY SPACE?
In order to provide a quick turnaround, budget-friendly professional design and a simplified process, Room Edit’s services are available exclusively online. All measurements and rough floorplans therefore need to be provided by the client.
CAN DESIGNERS WORK WITH MY EXISTING FURNITURE?
Absolutely! Provide us with images and measurements of the existing furniture that you wish to keep and we can incorporate them into your designs. Your designer will find the best way to work these items into your space.
IF I HAVE QUESTIONS, SPECIAL NEEDS OR REQUESTS OR WANT TO ADD INFORMATION DURING THE TIME MY ROOM IS BEING DESIGNED, HOW DO I DO THIS?
When you go through the checkout process, you will have the opportunity to share any additional information. We encourage you to enter your special needs or requests in this section. You will also be prompted to set up a call with your designer after you complete your purchase. This call will be the perfect opportunity to share your style, your needs and ask questions so that we can design a space that is both functional and beautiful.
CAN I COMBINE TWO ROOMS INTO ONE PACKAGE?
Because our budgets and floor plans are established based on single rooms, all rooms must be purchased separately, regardless if they are open concepts or not. However, if you’re working with us on multiple rooms, our designers can help you ensure you achieve a cohesive look and flow across your space.

INSTANT PACKAGES

HOW MUCH SHOULD I BUDGET FOR AN INSTANT PACKAGE?
Each Instant Package can be purchased for $199, which represents the design fee. Because Instant Package rooms are pre-designed, we cannot tailor them to your budget. The total value of all the items on your shopping list can range from $8,000 to $18,000 depending on the room size, type, and style.
I PURCHASED AN INSTANT PACKAGE BUT THE FLOOR PLAN DOES NOT WORK FOR THE LAYOUT OF MY ROOM. WHAT DO I DO?
Our Instant Packages are pre-designed based on approximate standards measurements and room layouts. Our designers can customize the floorplan to match your exact space for a small fee. If you want to ensure that everything fits, select the Add-on at checkout and we will work with you to adjust the design plan.
I PURCHASED AN INSTANT PACKAGE BUT I DON’T LIKE ONE OF THE PIECES INCLUDED. CAN YOU SUGGEST AN ALTERNATIVE PIECE?
Our Instant Packages are carefully curated to create a cohesive and seamless design. If you’d like to swap some items, our designers can help you find alternatives for a small fee. For $49.99, our designers can source 2 new furniture pieces that align with your vision.
I PURCHASED AN INSTANT PACKAGE BUT THE ITEMS DO NOT SHIP TO MY COUNTRY. WHAT DO I DO?
Because our Custom Packages are available for purchase worldwide, our designers will ensure each item suggested in the shopping list will be available for purchase in your country. Our Instant Packages however are only available in Canada and the U.S. because they are pre-designed and furnished through external suppliers.
I PURCHASED THE WRONG SIZE INSTANT PACKAGE. CAN I EXCHANGE FOR A DIFFERENT SIZE?
No worries, we can help! If you think you’ve purchased the wrong size, just reach out to our customer support and we can process the exchange.

CANCELLATION POLICY

I’VE PURCHASED AN INSTANT PACKAGE AND CHANGED MY MIND/DON’T LIKE IT. CAN I GET A REFUND?
Unfortunately, because our Instant Packages are immediately delivered to you digitally upon purchase, we cannot offer refunds.
I WANT TO CHANGE THE CUSTOM ROOM I AM HAVING DESIGNED. I ALREADY SENT IN MY QUESTIONNAIRE, DIMENSIONS AND INSPIRATION IMAGES, CAN I TRANSFER MY DESIGN FEE TO A DIFFERENT ROOM AND START OVER?
Our designers start working on your custom design immediately after your phone consultation. Therefore, we do not offer any refunds, exchanges or transfers after your phone consultation.
I HAVE TURNED IN ALL OF MY INFO FOR A CUSTOM PACKAGE AND HAVE CHANGED MY MIND. CAN I CANCEL MY ROOM?
Sorry to see you go! Our designers start the process of designing your custom package immediately after your phone consultation. Therefore, we do not offer any refunds after your phone consultation. If you’ve changed your mind prior to the phone consultation, please get in touch and we can issue a refund.
